Pantry Day

I may have scheduled too much for today, because it is almost 11pm as I write this.

Here goes my daily check out!

I started my podcast, brushed and flossed my teeth, and put away the dishes. Actually I think I forgot to floss. I decided today that teeth come after dishes, because doing the dishes has being my key habit in the morning and so doing something else as the first thing I do can throw things off.

I had oatmeal for breakfast and wiped down the table. Then I did my morning scheduling. The implicit assumption there is that in order to do scheduling I have to read my social messages and my emails, and as such I actually keep up with things as well.

At 8:30am my fiancee (who I will from now on refer to as "wife" because it is less letters and we are probably common law by now.) got up. We did an hour of martial arts and agreed to schedule 2 hours per week going forward. I had forgotten that that was the plan all along and that our short 5-15 minute sessions were only temporary.

After that I went to meditate and then I wrote my "Life Detective" Post which I was pleased with and proceeded to discover that wife has not been reading blog. She wanted to give me privacy. But really I write with her in mind. And now she is reading! This makes me happy.

At school I didn't prep because there weren't any readings, but I did buy more sunglasses because I lost my old ones. Sunglasses are something I struggle with. I think the longest I've had a pair is a bit less then 6 months. Then I Ieave them on the bus or drop them and they are gone. But I need them so I made myself get more.

I forgot what chore day it was today! I thought it was kitchen cleaning day.

I decided to get the oven clean and put the handle back on the stove, because my chore days are time to spend quality time with part of my home. I started while I was making my afternoon tea (for those who are unfamiliar afternoon tea is a meal of tea and a savoury dish taken between 3:30 and 5pm, I'm not English I just find that a meal at that time is very pleasant.) After I had my tea I finished. I took the door apart and fixed the handle. I cleaned the door and put it back together before finishing the oven. I managed to get the oven pretty clean with just baking soda. It isn't that I'm opposed to harsher chemicals, it is just that it seems so much trouble to wear gloves and have to avoid inhaling.

So I cleaned the entire oven. It was actually harder then I expected. I needed to find new screws for the handle because the others were lost. The piece of plastic that seals the glass to the door was difficult to put in. It was a lot dirtier then I expected inside the door. I thought it would take me 20-30 minutes. It took 40-50.

I did latin with my friend. We are reading the Cena Trimalchio from Patronius Satyricon. Lots of good Trimalchio jokes to be had.

I finished my Linear B (more sheep.)
After that I did my evening chores, planned my day for tomorrow, took my meds, and now I will plug in my devices and go to bed.
