Core Routines - Languages

This week I realised that I had a core routine for chores and martial arts it would be helpful to add two more to address the other aspects of my life. The chore routine comes from  the appendix of How to Manage Your Home Without Losing Your Mind. The  new language routine comes from one of my professors who I asked about how to

TWO DAILY LANGUAGE ALGORITHMS
Vocabulary and Reading.

READING
1. Select simple text.
2. Set Timer (30 minutes)*
3. Read a sentence out loud in the language.
4. Read out loud in English.

*I'm going to start at 5 minutes and build up to 30 if I can.

VOCABULARY
1. Choose 1-2 Words
2. Make Quiz
3. Into English x3
4. Out of English x3

Starting on Monday this will be my new routine. My main concern is not being able to find texts that are at my rather low reading level. I think I will start by simply rereading sections of the texts that I am reading as part of my summer project.

Eventually I would like to add a fourth routine, something to do with contemplation or reading philosophy. But I also realised that writing is something I'm now including in my daily life. Since these other three habits actually came out of things I was doing already I suspect that I should instead make my core habit be something that I am currently doing but want to reinforce rather then being something new. So I might use writing or I might use contemplative meditation. I would love to start reading philosophy again but chore habits need to be basic enough that I know I will do them every day.
